Sian-Pierre Regis (Director)
Sian-Pierre is currently a Firelight Media Fellow 2018-2020 and a Film Independent Documentary Fellow 2019. He is also an award-winning journalist, on-camera personality, and cultural critic with an undying love for both pop-culture and social responsibility. He has been a contributor for CNN, HLN, MTV and CBS, covering stories of youth political activism and pop-culture.
Meredith Chin (Producer)
Meredith Chin is a first-time documentary producer and current Film Independent Documentary Lab Fellow. She began her career in communications at Facebook, taking the company from a college directory to a global phenomenon and over one billion users. She also led communications for Instagram after it was acquired by Facebook in 2012. Prior to Duty Free, Meredith consulted on for several early stage start-ups to develop company narratives and support in growth and social strategies.
Mitra Bonshahi (Editor)
Mitra Bonshahi is an editor and producer living in Brooklyn, NY. She edited the feature-length documentary Bronx Obama (Showtime, 2014), which screened at several festivals including HotDocs, and worked as an assistant editor on multiple films including The King (Cannes, 2017). Mitra also edited the short documentary, Libre (Sundance, 2019). When she’s not working in the visual medium, she produces radio stories for StoryCorps, NPR-affiliated Peabody Award-winning project dedicated to preserving the stories of everyday Americans. She holds a MA in Media Studies from The New School.
Sara Shaw (Additional Editing)
Sara Shaw won the Sundance Grand Jury Prize for The Miseducation of Cameron Post. Her other editing credits include: Appropriate Behavior and Those People, Trouble. Her directing credits include Tooth and Nail (SXSW Narrative Short Selection, 2018).
Joey Dwyer (Director of Photography)
Joey Dwyer’s prior credits include being a 2nd AC on Skate Kitchen (Sundance Narrative Feature Selection, 2018), and The Reason. His directing credits include Running on Empty.
Rebecca Mellinger (Impact Producer)
Rebecca is a Social Impact Producer dedicated to supporting projects that harness the power of entertainment and art to inspire social change. She is the Impact Producer for Paris Hilton's YouTube Originials documentary This is Paris and for Duty Free, managing every aspect of its impact rollout from coordinating private screenings, interfacing with national impact partners and creating social programming.
